Cries for help often start with a whisper. Students are growing up in unprecedented times, and it’s more important than ever for them to receive support early on. But how do you know if a student’s struggling? It’s tough for many to open up, but in today’s digital world, the data’s out there. Students leave digital footprints that traverse the internet; from Facebook to Google Drive to Search, small signs can lead to major findings when all the pieces of a puzzle are put together. Today, many schools use AI to flag students who need immediate help. AI plays a critical role here -- but it can do more. As a student’s bad day becomes a student’s bad month, AI can correlate concerning activities and alert a student’s support network, giving them invaluable insight into a student’s well-being and allowing for early action.
