Richland School District will go through our journey with web content filters, cyber safety applications, classroom management applications, and parent apps for monitoring and managing student Internet access. Over the last decade, Richland has been on the lookout for a single ecosystem to be used in meeting the challenge of today's connected learning environments. The evolution of web filtering has changed over the years. We needed to find a way to keep our students safe online that has evolved past a standard web filter. The ecosystem includes a mechanism to protect students based on their online behavior, a way for teachers to monitor and control their classroom, and a way to engage with parents to keep their children safe online.
