Dave is a husband, father, retired member of the military, lifelong educator, and an IT jack of all trades turned school security expert. He enlisted in the Washington Air National Guard at 17, traveled the world and ultimately retired as the Cyber Systems Section Chief, 242 Combat Communication Squadron in 2014. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education from the University of Idaho. Dave spent 7 years as the Technology Director at Freeman School District, Freeman WA. While there he taught history, web design and technology, and built a technology program that is still running strong today. He played a vital role in passing capital bond initiatives and completed the Principal Certification Program at Washington State University. In July 2008, Dave joined the Ednetics team as the growing company’s first project manager. He has helped deliver millions of dollars of IT projects to over 180 K-12 districts across Washington, Idaho and Oregon. When the opportunity presented itself to build Ednetics physical security business, Dave jumped on it. 12 years later, Ednetics is one of the largest IT security integrators in the Pacific Northwest. Dave and his team’s focus on education combined with a passion for campus safety is the foundation of Ednetics Protect.
